The Ministry of Education and Higher Education will host its annual Back to School event on August 25–26 at the Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC), marking the start of the 2025–2026 academic year. The two-day event brings together ministry leaders, educators, students, parents, and the wider community, reflecting the ministry’s commitment to fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment.

This year’s theme, educational well-being, highlights the importance of a balanced environment that nurtures students’ psychological, physical, and social development. According to Maryam Abdullah Al Mohannadi, Director of Public Relations and Communication, the initiative underscores the ministry’s efforts to prepare both students and teachers for a strong start to the school year through targeted programs, training workshops, and readiness initiatives across schools.

The event will also recognize teachers’ pivotal role, honoring graduates of the Successful Beginning and Professionalization programs. Families can expect a mix of educational and recreational activities, including lectures, workshops, exhibitions, puppet shows, and interactive sessions such as Science Hour and Fun Hour. With contributions from community partners like Alef and Al Rawnaq Libraries, Ooredoo, KidZania, and Mowasalat, the event blends learning with entertainment to inspire students and strengthen community ties.

Al Mohannadi emphasized that Back to School is more than an annual gathering—it’s a national message rooted in student well-being, teacher appreciation, family involvement, and collective responsibility, aligning with Qatar’s National Development Strategy and Vision 2030.
