These may be difficult times, but Qatar’s authorities are trying everything within their capacity to ensure the safety of the public against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

As relevant authorities continue to combat the virus, the Supreme Committee for Crisis Management and the Ministry of Public Health have called on the people of Qatar to join the National Volunteering Campaign: “For Qatar.”

The volunteers will support Qatar’s healthcare sector as the number of COVID-19 cases increases.

“We need to stand together as a community and work to support Qatar’s public and private sectors during these trying times,” states the MOPH invite to the volunteering program.

Volunteers will have different responsibilities such as medical practice (clinical), allied health practice, public health awareness, logistics, and more.

The program will begin by the end of this month (March) and run until the end of June.

The program will see volunteers render their services across different patient health centers in Qatar.

Those who join the program as volunteers will undergo a two-hour induction and a two-hour job-specific training session before starting with their duties.

Additionally, all volunteers will be needed for at least 14 days for eight-hour shifts over 12 weeks.

Those interested in applying for the program can do so by filling the registration form here.
