As Qatar experiences hot temperatures, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced a change in timings at the drive-through vaccination centers.
Effective June 13, 2021, operating hours at the Lusail and Al Wakra drive-through centers will be from 4 pm until midnight.
The last entry at the center will be at 11 pm, according to a tweet by MoPH.
“By limiting the operating hours to the late afternoons and evenings, members of the public using the drive-through centers will be able to enjoy the best possible user experience, while the wellbeing of all staff will also be maintained,” the Ministry explained.

Both centers offer second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine only. So far over 302,000 people have benefitted from the ease of access to vaccines at the Lusail and Al Wakra drive-through vaccination centers.
The centers were set up earlier this year to support Qatar’s National COVID-19 Vaccination Program.
The opening of the centers has further strengthened the country's ability to protect its population from the threat of the virus.
The centers are designed to provide an easy and comfortable way for the public to get COVID-19 vaccines.
Vaccines are given in confidentiality and privacy as the centers feature a tailored vaccination path that cars can drive-through to receive a vaccine while the vaccine receiver remains inside his car for his convenience.
