The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) had communicated through their Twitter platform that children of age 16 and below will not be allowed to enter the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC).

According to MoPH, children of the aforementioned age will not be allowed to enter QNCC as it is currently designated for the COVID-19 vaccination program.

Moreover, the Pharmacy and Drug Control Department at MoPH had pointed out that the approved Pfizer and BioNTech vaccine can only be used on people of age 16 and above, whereas the Moderna vaccine applies to people of ages 18 and above.

Previously, the MoPH had introduced a set of new changes to the vaccination center to improve the entry and waiting process for patients arriving to get their COVID-19 vaccine.

MoPH had explained the need for these measures and stressed that the vaccine will only be given to individuals who have received an invitation and meet the requirements of the framework of the national program for vaccination against Corona.

The vaccination center is open from 7 am till 10 pm throughout all days of the week and individuals who have received an SMS for their appointments will be required to present a valid QID upon arrival.
