Earlier this week, Indian Embassy in Qatar tweeted a travel advisory on March 17, for those traveling or planning to travel to India to combat the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Today, Indian government has announced that no international flights will land in India from March 22 to 31. In addition, the government has advised citizens above 65 and children below 10 to stay inside the home as COVID-19 has claimed four lives in India.
"No scheduled international commercial airliner shall be allowed to land in India from March 22, 2020 for one week. The state government shall issue appropriate directions so that all citizens above 65 (other than for medical assistance) except for public representative/government servants/medical professionals are advised to remain at home," the government statement said.
As of now, India has registered over 170 cases of COVID-19, which includes 149 active cases, 19 recovered patients, four deaths, and one migrated.
Earlier today, Her Excellency Lolwa Bint Rashid Al-Khater, spokesperson for the Supreme Committee for Crisis Management, announced in a press conference, that six patients who had contracted the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Qatar have beat the virus.
The six patients have recovered from the COVID-19 infection and are in good health, the officials confirmed. Among the six patients, two of them are Qatari citizen and four of them are expatriates. With these, the total number of COVID-19 recovery in Qatar has now reached 10.
Eight new cases of the virus in the country was announced in the press conference. With these new cases, the total number of COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar has now reached 460.
