After a brief spell of pleasant, cold weather, the country is gearing up to once again face the scorching summer.

On social media platform Twitter, the country’s meteorological department predicted scattered rain, starting Monday evening.

They also said the weather was likely to be hotter on Sunday and Monday than any days in recent weeks, according to Gulf Times.

This is because southerly light to moderate winds are expected to affect the country. It will lead to a ‘noticeable rise’ in temperatures to 3-6C above normal for this time of the year.

The maximum temperature is expected to reach the mid-30C levels today and tomorrow in central, southern and western Qatar with a chance of slight dust in open areas.
