The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has introduced a new app to allow citizens and residents of Qatar to benefit from healthcare services via their smartphones.
The app, Nar’aakom, was launched at a press conference that saw the attendance of Dr Mariam Abdul Malik, Managing Director PHCC and Musellem Mubarak Al Manit, Assistant Managing director, PHCC, among other officials.
The app, which is now available for download, is ISO certified, the PHCC officials highlighted.
Through the app, citizens and residents of Qatar can view basic information related to health cards, such as the health card numbers and its expiry. They can also check their assigned health center as well as their assigned family physician from PHCC.
Additionally, the app allows individuals to keep track of their appointments as well as those of their dependants.
During the press conference today, it was also highlighted that three more health centers will begin offering the COVID-19 vaccine.
These include: the Qatar University, Al Waab and Al Khor health centers.
It was also announced that about 10 percent of the target group in the first phase of the COVID-19 vaccination drive in Qatar has already been vaccinated.
