In an official statement, Qatar Chamber (QC) has denounced the deliberate disrespect directed toward Muslims stirred by insulting the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
QC said it condemned “the continuing provocation of the feelings of Muslims by insulting the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the subsequent waves of hostility toward Muslims.”

This contradicts the values of tolerance and respect for religions that Qatar has always supported, the Chamber underlined.
“This systematic hostility toward Islam will have major repercussions on the level of commerce and economic relations,” QC mentioned.
Earlier this week, in a statement, issued by the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Qatar condemned the dramatic escalation of populist rhetoric that incites religious abuse and reiterated its total rejection of all forms of hate speech based on belief, race, or religion.
"This inflammatory speech has witnessed a dangerous turn with the increasing institutional and systematic calls for the repeated targeting of nearly two billion Muslims around the world through the deliberate offending of the noble prophet Mohammed, Peace be Upon Him," the MOFA statement underlined.
