Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has asked the public not to eat grapes originating from Peru, due to the possibility of its contamination with pesticide residues, reported Gulf Times.
The ministry said there was an international warning on the same and added that it was undertaking all necessary procedures to reduce potential risks to the consumer, according to The Peninsula.
The ministry said samples of the grapes were sent from the quantities reserved for laboratory analysis and notices have been sent to the State’s ports to seize any grape shipments from Peru, according to Qatar Tribune.
The MoPH has urged people who have bought the grapes to not consume it under any circumstances.
