Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani formally opened the Lusail Marina walkway yesterday.
The Minister, who inaugurated the walkway, also switched on the accompanying aquatic shows, reported Gulf Times.

The opening of the Lusail Walkway project will add another tourist attraction that will help make the country transform itself into a global tourist destination, reported The Peninsula.
The Prime Minister toured the walkway to get better acquainted with the project and facilities, which have been developed to world-class standards.

The iconic walkway is spread over a 142,600SqM area on the coast of Lusail, with a 4.2km-long sea facade.
It boasts of stunning natural landscapes, green spaces and wide corridors that provide an atmosphere throughout the year, according to Gulf Times.

The Lusail walkway is also expected to support entrepreneurs and investors by providing a variety of investment opportunities, opening up various areas of investment in Lusail City, as well as setting up many events.
The Lusail Marina walkway also saw the formal inauguration of the International Light Festival.
The International Light Festival will be on until Saturday, December 8, and will include a range of technical and optical displays.

Meanwhile, infrastructure accomplishment in the Lusail City, the first of the Qatari Diar projects, has exceeded 90%, said Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company CEO Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah.
“The city will continue to serve as an example and a milestone in the history of sustainable cities around the world, in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030,” he said.
Al Attiyah said the 38SqKm Lusail City had been designed taking into consideration all environmental and cultural sustainability components to accommodate more than 450,000 residents and visitors.
The city also includes the Lusail Stadium, which will host the opening and closing matches of the 2022 World Cup.
