Qatar will mark another significant milestone in its road to 2022 with the unveiling of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar on Tuesday, September 3.
To make this historic moment even more precious, the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy has announced details of an international digital campaign, under which the official logo will be projected on iconic landmarks and buildings across the globe. It will also be shown on giant screens in several world capitals simultaneously.
SC said it will reveal the first World Cup logo in the Arab region and the Middle East at 20.22 (8.22 pm Doha time).
The Supreme Committee stated that the logo of the World Cup will be featured on these locations:
- Doha (Katara Amphitheater, Souq Waqif, Sheraton Hotel, Torch Doha, Doha Tower, Zubarah Fort and Ministry of Interior Building)
- Kuwait (Kuwait Towers)
-Muscat (Opera House)
- Beirut (Raouche Rock)
- Amman (Royal Hotel)
- Algeria (Opera House)
- Tunisia (Hammamet City)
- Rabat (El Rabat Corniche)
- Iraq (Baghdad Tower, Tahrir Square).

Meanwhile, FIFA is also running a contest for the FIFA World Cup Greatest Emblem until September 2.
You can take part in the voting on the official FIFA World Cup Twitter account to find your favorite, spanning from 1930 through to 2018.
The first of five preliminary matches is Switzerland 1954 against Sweden 1958. The bracket will then progress into a Round of 16, quarter-finals and semi-finals. The final will take place on 1 September, with the winner announced the following day, according to FIFA.
