HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met on Tuesday with HE Commander of the Army of the Republic of Lebanon General Joseph Aoun.

The meeting reviewed aspects of the bilateral cooperation.

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed the supportive position of Qatar to Lebanon and its brotherly people to overcome the current crisis.

Qatar announced support for the Lebanese Army with 70 tons of food per month for a year, during the visit of HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani to the Republic of Lebanon.

The support comes within the framework of the State of Qatar's constant endeavors to help resolve the political crisis in Lebanon, and its firm commitment to support the Republic of Lebanon and stand by the brotherly Lebanese people, in addition to its firm belief in the importance and necessity of the joint Arab action.

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs renewed the State of Qatar's call on all Lebanese parties to prioritize the national interest and to expedite the formation of a new government in order to achieve stability in Lebanon.

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed the State of Qatar's support to Lebanon, its brotherly people, and the Army, praising the role of the Lebanese Army during the Beirut Port explosion crisis.
