Qatar Aquatics Federation to Organise Seashore Doha 4×4 Water Polo Championship

The Qatar Aquatics Federation is preparing to organise the Seashore Doha 4×4 Water Polo Championship from October 22 to 24 at Old Doha Port. The Qatar national water polo team will participate alongside several local and international teams in an event combining sporting competition with a distinctive waterfront atmosphere.

The championship forms part of the federation's efforts to develop water polo, broaden its participation base and strengthen its presence on the local sporting scene. It will also provide the Qatar national team with competitive exposure against the participating teams, contributing to the exchange of experience and improvement of the players' technical level.

The championship is expected to feature strong competition due to the distinctive 4×4 water polo format, which relies on speed and individual and team skills. Matches are played in a smaller water area, increasing the pace of play and adding further excitement to the contests.

Old Doha Port provides a suitable destination for hosting the championship because of its distinctive waterfront location and tourism and leisure facilities. These facilities will allow spectators to watch the matches and enjoy the activities in an atmosphere combining sport and entertainment.

The championship reflects the Qatar Aquatics Federation's commitment to diversifying its programmes and activities and organising innovative events that help promote aquatics and encourage different segments of society to participate. It also supports the State of Qatar's efforts to host sporting events and strengthen its position as a distinguished destination for sports competitions.

The championship is expected to attract aquatics enthusiasts, with local and international teams seeking to deliver strong technical performances and compete for the title over three days.
