As the summer heats up, Qatar's Ministry of Labour stated on Wednesday that outdoor work from 10 am to 3:30 pm will be prohibited from June 1 to September 15. This also applies to employment in shady areas without enough ventilation. Companies and institutions with work sites in direct sunlight are required by the decision to post a schedule in a visible location that is simple for all employees to see, detailing the daily working hours, in compliance with the rules of the decision.
In the upcoming months, labor inspection teams will undertake field inspections to companies' locations to confirm that they are complying with the decision's rules. The ministry's desire to safeguard the health and safety of workers in the workplace has led to the establishment of these annual procedures, which include the provision of work equipment that meets the highest occupational safety and health requirements.
