HE Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saoud Al-Thani, Governor of the Qatar Central Bank, and Gianni Infantino, President of FIFA, unveiled a new commemorative FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 banknote.

A representative of the Qatar Central Bank stated that the '22 Qatari Riyal' commemorative banknote can be purchased for QR 75, while its face value will remain unchanged at 22 riyals. On the same day, the central bank also unveiled ten coins.

At the unveiling, the governor stated that the issuance of commemorative banknotes for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 is representative of a fundamental contribution from the banking sector to the success of the World Cup, which is the first of its kind in the Middle East and the Arab region. "It is a source of pride for all of us, and an affirmation of the unity and integration of the various public and private sectors in the state," he remarked.

2. The commemorative banknotes have a beautiful design and quality materials.
3. The commemorative banknotes have legal force in terms of nominal value and specifications
4. The commemorative banknotes will be offered through banks and money exchanges.
5. QCB has taken a set of measures to facilitate financial transactions.
6. The commemorative banknotes will hold the FIFA logo
7. The issuance of the Himyan card will facilitate payments for the citizens, residents and visitors.
