Qatar Charity, through its constant effort to support countries affected by crisis, completed the establishment of a migrant shelter center in Sarajevo of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The project signed under the agreements between Qatar Charity (QC) and the United Nations International Organization for Migration (IOM) during the current and the last year, has been completed with joint funding of QR 3 million by both parties.

The fund was allocated to support the response to the situation of Asian and African refugees and migrants in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The accommodation center is equipped with the basic supplies necessary to provide safe and healthy shelter for the families and protect them from the cold of winter, while IOM manages and supervises the center within its competence.
The project, which was implemented by Qatar Charity in cooperation with IOM, benefits 1500 migrants from Asia and Africa.
The funds are aimed to ease their suffering, provide shelter to the vulnerable, protect them from the cold of winter, and strengthen solidarity with them.
Qatar Charity and IOM have signed many cooperation agreements, including the agreement with Kuwait to implement urgent response projects in Iraq, Yemen, and Syria, with a funding of one million dollars.
According to the cooperation agreement signed in Kuwait, the work has begun to implement urgent response projects in Iraq, Yemen, and Syria which will benefit 107,000 people from response projects worth $600,000 in Iraq.
This project includes supporting health and protection services in Nineveh, rebuilding 120 destroyed homes in Mosul, and responding to the water crisis in Al Qurnah.

The agreement also stipulated to support the project to enhance maternal and child care in Yemen, at an estimated cost of $ 200,000 Which will benefit 4,000 people, the majority of them are children.
Around 4,000 people affected by the Syrian crisis will be benefiting from multi-sectoral assistance in Syria, at an estimated cost of $200,000.
Qatar Charity and IOM have agreed to continue to develop their common relationship through the implementation of more joint projects at the country level.
The existing co-operation between Qatar Charity and IOM affirms the strength of the relationship that has been framed by Qatar Charity obtaining the status of observer member of IOM in 2006.
