To emphasize the deep relations shared between the two nations, Qatar will participate in the celebrations of Kuwait’s National Day through a number of sport and culture activities.

The Organizing Committee of Qatar National Day in collaboration with Qatar’s Ministry of Culture and Sports will orchestrate a number of events focused on the folk traditions of Qatar and the Gulf region to further highlight the unity of the GCC, reported the Gulf Times.

The Committee will organize events under the motto “Kuwait is…our Country Kuwait,” to demonstrate the strength of the Qatar-Kuwait friendship and recognize the Kuwaiti leadership and its people for their supportive stance for Qatar. 

Several Qataris will get involved in the commemoration of the day in Kuwait. The participation will be seen at two places in Kuwait, including Sabah Al-Ahmad Heritage Village at the GCC folk heritage festival from today until March 2 and at Murouj area between February 21 to 26 where Qatari and Kuwaiti students will join hands together for the celebrations, according to The Peninsula.

A week earlier, HH The Amir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani had met with the Kuwaiti Amir Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah to review the friendly ties between the two countries and reaffirm their commitment to supporting each other across multiple avenues.
