Qatar and Kuwait have always enjoyed strong brotherly relations, which have been boosted by Kuwait's unwavering support to Qatar ever since the Gulf crisis erupted.
The two nations have pledged support and cooperation in several areas including political, economic, trade, investment, military and security cooperation, education, tourism, and art.
Earlier this year, upon the directives of HH the Amir, Qatar officially launched the Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor project, in appreciation of the Kuwaiti Amir, reflecting the strength of the relationship between the two nations.
Qatar and Kuwait continue to strengthen their bond. As part of an official meeting held between His Excellency the Chairman of Qatar's National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) Dr Ali bin Smaikh Al Marri and HE Chairman of the National Bureau for Human Rights of the State of Kuwait, Ambassador Jassim Mubarak Al Mubaraki, the two countries have pledged to boost cooperation in the field of human rights.

The meeting, held at the NHRC headquarters in the presence of HE Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the State of Qatar Hafeez Mohammed Al Ajmi, discussed means of cooperation on issues of common interest and encouraging more exchange of expertise.
The meeting also discussed the possibility of signing an agreement of understanding between the NHRC and the Bureau aimed at strengthening and protecting the close relations between the two parties in the fields of human rights.
This was in addition to the joint organization of training courses, conferences, forums and seminars, and conduct studies or research on topics of common interest.
The meeting coincides with the celebration of the fifth anniversary of the United Nations honoring His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, and the designation of Kuwait as a center for humanitarian action in deserved achievement consolidating Kuwait's position in international forums.
The NHRC has previous experiences in the cooperation with the State of Kuwait in the dissemination and establishment of a culture of human rights, where the two sides organized a training course for Kuwaiti diplomats in December 2014.
The two sides also organized a second training course in Kuwait for the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Interior in Kuwait in March 2015 under the title: (the optimal framework for how to deal with human rights issues through the use of appropriate international and regional mechanisms) as well as the NHRC organization of the Exhibition of Islamic Culture in Human Rights in Kuwait.
This was part of the regional cooperation in the field of awareness, education and human rights, and complemented the qualitative partnership between the NHRC and the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in support of the Gulf joint cooperation.
