Qatar Media Corporation Wins Six Awards at Arab Radio and Television Festival in Tunisia
Qatar Media Corporation achieved a new milestone by winning six awards at the 26th Arab Radio and Television Festival, an accomplishment reflecting the corporation's commitment to the quality of media content and strengthening its presence across the Arab media landscape.
In a statement on Friday, the corporation explained that Qatar Television won two silver awards in the programme exchange awards. One was for the documentary "Souq Waqif... A Renewed Memory", while the other was awarded to the Planning Department for its excellence in television programme exchange.
Qatar Television also won two additional silver awards. The first was in the "Comedy Series" category for the series "Mardi and Dahham 3", while the second was in the category for "Television Films and Documentaries About the Palestinian Cause" for the documentary "Gaza: The Nightmare, Part Two".
Qatar Radio received two silver awards. The first was for the best programmes in radio programme exchanges among member states, while the second was awarded in the radio competitions and programmes section, under the "Sports Programmes" category, for the programme "Farq Baseet". This brought Qatar Media Corporation's total at the 2026 Arab Radio and Television Festival to six silver awards.
The 26th Arab Radio and Television Festival was held in Tunisia under the slogan "The Pulse of the Image and the Echo of the Future" and was organised by the Arab States Broadcasting Union.
The festival is an annual platform that celebrates Arab media creativity, honours distinguished productions and strengthens cooperation and creative competition among Arab radio and television institutions.
