Qatar Olympic Committee wins Arab award for creative social media content

The Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) has won the award for Best Creative Content on Social Media in the Sports category at the third edition of the Social Governments Award.

The award recognises QOC’s work in producing creative digital content and strengthening engagement with audiences through social media.

QOC recognised in sports category

The Social Governments Institute announced QOC as the winner in the sports sector as part of the results of the third edition of its regional awards.

The programme recognises excellence and innovation in government communication and digital media across the Arab world.

QOC was named the winner of the Best Creative Content on Social Media award within the sports category.

Institutions from 12 Arab countries participate

According to the Social Governments Institute, the third edition included 16 government institutions representing 12 Arab countries, competing across 13 award categories.

Entries were assessed by a judging panel comprising experts and specialists in areas including institutional communication, media and digital transformation.

The evaluation considered factors including strategy, innovation, execution and impact.

Recognising digital communication

The Social Governments Award aims to highlight successful approaches to digital government communication across social media.

The programme also seeks to encourage innovation, improve institutional communication and promote the exchange of successful practices between organisations across the Arab region.

QOC said the achievement reflects the collective efforts of its team in delivering creative sports content across its digital platforms.
