Qatar will participate in the third consultative meeting of the Global Judicial Integrity Network, slated to take place from August 28 to 29 in Vienna, Austria.

His Excellency the Chairman of the Supreme Judiciary Council and President of the Court of Cassation Dr Hassan Lahdan Saqr Al Mohannadi will be heading Qatar's delegation to the meeting.

The high-level meeting will see discussions on the latest developments related to the Global Judicial Integrity Network work plan between 2018 and 2019.

The conference will also shed light on the efforts made by all members of the advisory board to promote and strengthen the work of the network in 2019 and the future opportunities to ensure the sustainability of the network's work, particularly Qatar's initiatives related to the promotion of global judicial integrity.

The participants of the meeting will discuss the summary of the final information to be presented at the second meeting and the guidelines for the organization and coordination of the work of the advisory board. Additionally, a report on the achievements of the network since its establishment will also be reviewed.

During the second consultative meeting held in Doha last January, the members of the advisory board of the Global Judicial Integrity Network had adopted the proposal of HE the Chairman of the Supreme Judiciary Council to include judicial immunity as a fourth file for the files of the upcoming Doha Conference.

Qatar is also set to host a high-level meeting of the Global Judicial Integrity Network in November this year.
