Qatar took part in the Afghanistan ministerial talks, which were held virtually yesterday. H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, represented Qatar at the meeting.
The meeting was attended by US Secretary of State HE Antony Blinken, Foreign Minister of the Federal Republic of Germany HE Heiko Maas, and a number of ministers and officials.

The discussion reviewed the latest humanitarian, security, and political events in Afghanistan, as well as the progress of civilian evacuation operations and the necessary international efforts to assure civilian safety and the preservation of the Afghan people's gains and rights.
Furthermore, participants expressed gratitude to Qatar for its ongoing mediation efforts in Afghanistan.
