In an official ceremony held at Msheireb station, Qatar Railways Company (Qatar Rail) and Qatar Postal Services Company (Qatar Post) have unveiled commemorative stamps for the Doha Metro project.

The Doha Metro Project is widely regarded as one of the world's most modern and developed train systems.

In addition to the first-day edition folder and two postcards, the stamps edition contains a set of four stamps on one sheet.

The new stamp edition was printed by Go in Cherry, a Dutch firm that is one of Europe's best security printing companies, with 10,000 copies and 1200 folders printed.

The collection focuses on the Doha Metro project as a long-term world-class transportation infrastructure that combines historical authenticity with modernism and excellent technological performance.

The Doha Metro stamp features an original design that contains images of the metro train and its stops, which are distinguished by their excellent design and commitment to the highest sustainability standards.

Ajlan Eid Al Enazi, Chief of Corporate Strategies and Business Development at Qatar Rail said, “The Doha Metro project holds great importance for the State of Qatar as one of the most advanced infrastructure projects in the transport sector in the country, and one of the most prominent transport projects in the world.

“Through our collaboration with Qatar Post, we are proud to launch this set of stamps and postcards, to be issued as a special edition, commemorating this national achievement,” he added.
