The Qatari men’s beach volleyball team claimed a silver medal at the second and final round of the 2026 West Asia Beach Volleyball Championship in Batroun, Lebanon, on Friday.
The team, consisting of Mohammed Ehab and Mousa Al Khair, reached the final after defeating Kuwait 2-0 in the quarterfinals and Lebanon 2-0 in the semifinals.
In the final, the Qatari pair lost 1-2 to Lebanon’s Jad Abi Karam and Hadi Shbeib in a thriller.
The result adds to Qatar’s growing record of beach volleyball successes at the regional and continental levels.
