Ever since the start of the illegal siege, Qatari citizens have been subjected to severe injustices by the blockading quarter — Bahrain, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
While more than 13,000 families have been adversely affected by the blockade, some Qataris have been detained by blockading nations.
Dr Ali bin Smaikh Al Marri, Chairman of Qatar’s National Human Rights Committee (NHRC), has demanded Saudi authorities to immediately reveal the whereabouts of four Qatari nationals who are victims of enforced disappearance and arbitrary detention, reported Gulf Times.

The top official also said that he held the Saudi Arabians fully responsible for the Qatari citizens’ safety.
The NHRC Chairman also called for the sending a United Nations fact-finding mission to find out about what happened to four of its citizens, three who were victims of an enforced disappearance and another who has been arbitrarily detained, reported The Peninsula.
The fate of the four Qataris remains unknown to this day.
The NHRC Chairman also urged theUN’s Working Group on Arbitrary Detention and the Working Group on Enforced Disappearance to undertake a joint field visit to Saudi Arabia to reveal the situation of the Qatari nationals detained there.
Dr Al Marri, who is currently on a visit to the UK, described Saudi actions as shameful and inhumane and one that will leave psychological effects on future generations.
So far, the NHRC and the missing persons’ families have been unable to communicate with them, reported Qatar Tribune.
Dr Al Marri urged international organisations to exert more pressure on Saudi Arabia for the release of the Qatari nationals before it was too late.
“The NHRC has provided international organisations and the UN with all information about the missing and detained Qatari citizens in Saudi Arabia,” he said.
