Building on its earlier efforts to support countries around the world to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, Qatar has once again sent medical aid to Pakistan.

Under His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani’s directives, the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) coordinated with Qatar’s embassy in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, to deliver the aid.

The shipment comprises ventilators and anti-COVID-19 medication to help Pakistan in its fight against COVID-19.

Some officials from the medical units in the Pakistani army welcomed the shipment at the Islamabad airport.

Director-General of QFFD HE Khalifa Al Kuwari highlighted that the aid is very significant as it expands Qatar’s earlier efforts in combatting the impact of the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic has impacted everyone in various ways, he added.

He also noted that Qatar has been at the forefront of providing aid to help others confront the pandemic and under the country’s wise leadership several nations have benefitted from Qatar’s humanitarian efforts.
