Qatar has once again stepped forward to extend a helping hand to the brotherly nation of Lebanon.
The country has sent a shipment, containing 70 tonnes of food aid, to Beirut for the Lebanese army.
The shipment was delivered via a plane from the Amiri Air Force of the Qatari Armed Forces.

Qatar had announced the support for the Lebanese army with 70 tons of foodstuffs per month for a year, in July.
This comes under Qatar's efforts and its firm commitment to support Lebanon and stand by the brotherly Lebanese people. It also reflects the country's firm belief in the significance of activating joint Arab action.
Last year, Qatar spared no effort in coming to the aid of Lebanon, following the deadly Beirut Port Explosion that took place on August 4, 2020.
Part of the country’s immediate response saw the mobilization of efforts to send a search and rescue team to the Lebanese capital in addition to providing two fully-equipped field hospitals to treat those affected and injured in the devastating incident.
Additionally, under the ‘Lebanon in Our Hearts’ fundraising campaign, Qatar raised more than QR94 million in aid to help Lebanon deal with the catastrophe.
