Qatar Tourism Authority is preparing to wrap up the month-long Qatar Summer Festival on a high note this weekend with two much-awaited concerts.

Remaining tickets for the performances on August 27 and 28 have been made available for purchasing at the Entertainment City, to which thousands of visitors flock every day.

In addition, winners of the "Sabah Rabah" social media competition, which quizzes participants' on touristic hot spots in Qatar, will offer daily winners the chance to win free concert tickets throughout its last week.

Questions are shared on QTA and QSF social media accounts, and are also aired on "Sabah, Rabah", the popular morning show aired daily at 9.00 am and repeated at 2.00 pm on Al Rayyan TV, the Festival's official media partner.

Gulf stars Balqis Fathy and Rabeh Saqr will perform on the 27th during the first of two concerts to be held at Ali bin Hamad Al Attiyah area, near Al Sadd Sports Club, which seats more than 7,000 spectators.

Meanwhile Syrian star Asala has been rehearsing her hits in Gulf dialect for the show on the 28th, including the song Listen to Your Voice's Echo, whose lyrics were written by Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashed Al Maktoum.

Celebrated newcomer Saad Lamjared will perform alongside Asala and has prepared a line-up of his most popular hits so far.

Ticket prices for the shows, which start at 199 QAR. Doors will open at 7:00pm and special women-only seating areas will be available.

The final weekend of Qatar Summer Festival will also include the Doha Comedy Day, featuring a group of stand-up comedy pioneers from across the Gulf.

The comedians include Bader Saleh, Ibrahim Khairallah, Fahd Al Butairi, Ahmed Al Shammari and Ali Al Sayed. The event will be hosted by Qatari comedian Hamad Al Ammari.

Qatar Summer Festival continues until 31st August and targets visitors from around the GCC with a range of entertainment activities for families in a festive, safe environment that reflects their culture and heritage.

This year's edition is expected to drive up inbound tourism numbers with new attractions, special hotel rates and weekly raffle draws on valuable prizes.
