Dr Naji highlighted CoE's strong focus on cyber security through coordination with many local and international bodies to conduct advanced research in this field.
This is in addition to the college's efforts to organize specialized courses and programs, aimed at strengthening cyber security at the national level, with the support of various government agencies.
He pointed out that the MoU contributes to activate the community partnership and facilitate the transfer of knowledge and technology with PGI for the service of the university and society and deepen the relationship with the industrial sector towards more cooperation and mutual interaction to support the educational process and students.
The Director of KINDI Center for Computing Research Dr Noora Fetais said that the development of technical capabilities in the field of cyber security for all will have a significant impact on the development of society, which will contribute to the growth of the Qatari economy.
The academy represents a fruitful collaboration between the academic and industrial sectors toward supporting cyber security for all, she added.

According to Dr Fetais, the academy follows from the request of institutions and individuals to help them in the way they deal with cyber security, to spread awareness of the importance of this type of security, to protect and avoid any damages.
The establishment of the academy will greatly reduce the risks at the digital level, she added.
PGI's CCDO said that the advanced digital economy requires large numbers of specialists with expertise and experience in the field of cyber security, to ensure national security on the Internet.
This requires high-level training programs that provide an effective combination of training, development, and expertise, Madden added.
