Qatar has been doing a lot for helping the cause of workers in the country.
It was just two days ago that HH The Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani passed a new law which lifted the exit permit system for most people working in Qatar.
And now, the Qatari cabinet has taken necessary measures to issue a draft law on the establishment of a fund to support workers in the country, reported Gulf Times.

The decision came after the Cabinet reviewed recommendations made by the Advisory Council at its regular weekly meeting on Wednesday.
Under the draft law, a brand new fund is set to be established and will have a legal status, independent budget and will be affiliated to the Cabinet. The fund’s headquarters will be based in Doha, reported Qatar Tribune.
The aim of the fund is to provide sustainable and required financial sources to support and protect workers.
The fund will aim to pay workers’ dues agreed by labour dispute settlement committees, and then collect what has been paid by the employers.
The Cabinet meeting was chaired by Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani.
