Her Excellency Qatar's Minister of Public Health Dr Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari has been awarded The Woman Health Leader of The Year 2021 prize by the Arab Hospitals Federation.

The award comes in recognition of HE Dr Al Kuwari's role in managing the COVID-19 crisis.

Qatar has gone above and beyond in its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The country continues to tackle the crisis with all its might as it runs the largest-ever vaccination campaign in its history.

With the progress of the National COVID-19 Vaccination Program, Qatar is ranked among the top ten countries in the world, in view of its population, and has one of the lowest death rates globally.

More than two and half million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered to citizens and residents of Qatar, as of mid-May 2021.
