Qatar has held many important exhibitions in different fields — from jewellery and watches to falcon sports and medicine — in the recent past.

Now, the country will open a mega event related to construction — the fourth ‘Build Your House (BYH) Exhibition’ — at the Qatar National Convention Centre from today.

The four-day exhibition will welcome visitors interested in constructing their own dream homes.

The exhibition is expected to see a 50% increase in space for local exhibitors from Qatar, as well as international businesses from Canada, Iran, Italy, Oman, UK, Sri Lanka, Kuwait, Belgium, China, Algeria, India, and Turkey.

The BYH had recently announced some major event sponsors. While Ashghal is the Official Partner, Kahramaa are the Sustainability Partners. They are also supported by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Municipality, Civil Defence and Qatar Chamber.

The BYH Exhibition also announced the addition of more exhibitors and vital support to its expanded show.

A companion conference which explores the latest developments related to construction and licensing procedures, as well as showcasing the latest trends in smart and sustainable living, will also be held. Several Q&A sessions as well as specialized panel discussions will also be held.

The exhibition will see an interior design competition for students, in collaboration with Virginia Commonwealth University Qatar, as well as a contest for the ‘best booth design.’

The BYH Exhibition will serve as an important national platform to connect companies operating in the residential construction sector and Qatari citizens who desire to build or renovate their homes.

Over the years, the exhibition has contributed to an urban renaissance and the growth of the country’s construction sector, at the same time enabling Qatari citizens to enjoy a modern and prosperous standard of living.

The event will be free to attend for the public. Those who wish to attend can register here.

Those who wish to attend the BYH 2023 exhibition can make use of the Doha Metro’s Green Line to get down at the Qatar National Library station (Exit 2).

The 19th Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition was one of the most recent major events the country hosted.
