The city may witness rains later this evening, the Met Office said in a special bulletin yesterday.

It warned that the weather may be cloudy and unstable all over the country from this evening until noon tomorrow.

There are chances of rains accompanied by thunder at times at different places, causing inconvenience to motorists.

The weekend is expected to be windy with the wind being northwesterly (which blows from the colder regions of Europe).

The speed may reach up to 28 knots at times. The sea will be tumultuous, with waves up to 11 feet, especially tomorrow.

Temperatures may drop, particularly from tomorrow, from 26 degrees C during daytime to 19 at night in Doha.

In areas outside the city, the weather could be a bit chilly as mercury levels could drop to between 22 and 16 degrees, the Met Office said.
