The Supreme Education Council has issued a new timing for all independent and private schools during Ramadan.

According to the circulars given out by several schools on Tuesday, the schools will function from 9 am to 2 pm from Thursday.

In late May, schools had also received a circular from SEC with an advice to reduce the timing this summer in view of the extreme weather.

However, most of the schools will conclude their academic session by the end of next week.
