The days of unexpectedly low temperatures and rain in Qatar seems to be drawing to a close.

Qatar’s Meteorology Department is now predicting a significant rise in temperature on Saturday and Sunday, which will be much above the average for the month of April, reported The Peninsula.

In a post on social media, the meteorological department attributed this sudden increase to the presence of south-easterly to south westerly winds, which would blow in warmer air from the south. The average maximum temperature for Doha during April is 32 degrees.

The weather bureau says maximum temperatures in most areas will go over the mid-30s. However, the temperature is expected to be a little less in coastal areas due to sea breeze phenomenon.

The weather will be hazy today, with scattered clouds and weak chance of light rain in some areas. The day will be relatively hotter along with blowing dust.
