The International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition, S'hail 2022, is taking place from September 5 to September 10 this year and is expected to showcase hunting weapons, supplies, and falcons from 20 countries, totaling up to 180 participating companies. The event, organized by the Cultural Village Foundation, is expected to see several ministries, authorities, and other entities in attendance

Over the last few years, the event has made its mark in the industry as the leading destination of choice for falconry, hunting, and heritage lovers. People from all over the world come to attend this exhibition because of the latest weapons, equipment, supplies, hunting rifles, and trip equipment it showcases. Furthermore, the huge selection of rare falcons of high quality and skilled hunting lures massive crowds every year.

This year, S'hail has seen an increase of 20 percent crowd as compared to the last edition, as more entities have shown interest in exhibiting their hunting and falconry companies from the Gulf region as well as the rest of the world.

The exhibition is a celebration of pioneers of falconry and hunting lovers and is distributed over five areas:

  • The main tent that occupies the Hekma Square will be displaying sniper supplies and hunting equipment, traditional industries, and hunting handicrafts
  • The second area will host the S'hail auction and a hall for weapon companies
  • The third hall is dedicated to bird farms and companies specializing in four-wheel-drive cars for hunting trips
  • The fourth area will display luxurious touring caravans ideal for trips and camping
  • The fifth hall will be dedicated to ammunition, weapons, and rifles, and will be on the southern side of Katara

Keeping up with its reputation, the exhibition will host a huge number of the rarest and fines falcons in Qatar and the gulf including Al-Hurr, Peregrine (Shaheen), and Gyrfalcon. Falcon collectors can participate in the auction, where hybrid breeding birds will be up for a bid.

The exhibition is also set to feature a series of cultural and artistic activities and events, including a live drawing session where 12 local artists will be making live art, poetry sessions, and specialized scientific lectures for falconers who are interested in learning more about the various experiences in falconry and hatching. The exhibition will also be hosting a competition for the most beautiful pavilion, amongst a series of competitions lined up.

The sixth edition of the International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition (Shail 2022) is being held in partnership with a group of national sponsors, with the Social and Sport Contribution Fund (DAAM) being the strategic partner. The media partners are Al-Kass channel, Qatar TV, Al-Rayyan channel, and Voice of the Gulf radio.
