Qatar Tourism had announced the return of the month-long retail and entertainment extravaganza "Shop Qatar" last month. 

Shop Qatar will be the first major festival in Qatar in 18 months, with discounts of up to 90 percent at 15 locations throughout Doha.

Shop Qatar celebrates the country's diverse retail, beauty, and entertainment choices, with events taking place in and around the famous Doha shopping malls. 

It is an annual event aimed at promoting Qatar's fashion and leisure sector as well as showcasing the country's hospitality. Simultaneously, Shop Qatar delivers a variety of captivating workshops and masterclasses, as well as intriguing surprises.

Through four weekly lottery draws, hundreds of prizes, including cash and cars valued more than QAR 4 million, will be awarded.

On September 17, 2021, the first raffle draw took place at Doha Festival City, with winners receiving brand new cars, mall gift vouchers, PlayStation 5 consoles, and much more.

In light of this special festival, Shop Qatar will be hosting two concerts on October 1 and October 7 at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC). 

On the other hand, Shop Qatar Design Week will take place for the first time in Msheireb Downtown and will feature pop-up shops, various workshops, and two international fashion displays to commemorate the Qatar-USA Year of Culture.

Pop-up shops will be featured over a period of one week from October 3 till 8. Furthermore, one can look forward to candle workshops (October 3), Denim workshops (October 4-5), perfume workshops (October 6-7), and design workshops (October 8-9) during this festive period. 

Makeup enthusiasts can also look forward to a masterclass featuring Instagram influencer Ghadeer Alsultan at Park Hyatt on October 7. 

Well-renowned Indian-American fashion designer Naeem Khan will be present at the fashion show taking place at Lagoona Mall on October 7, followed by yet another makeup master class featuring celebrity makeup artist Nikki Wolff on October 8 at Park Hyatt.
