Team Qatar's star high jumper Mutaz Barshim made his way to the finals after clearing every height at the first attempt during the qualifying round on Sunday night.
The final is slated for August 16 at 2.30 a.m. Doha time, which will see Barshim compete against the greatest high jumpers in the world in a bid to build on his previous performance in London 2012.
Barshim put on an impressive show in the qualifying round and cleared 2.29 meters on his way to the finals.
