Talabat, the region’s leading food and grocery delivery app, has announced, on top of other initiatives it already rolled out this week, that 100 percent of all profit made between 12 pm - 4 pm today August 12, 2020, whether it is food or non - food orders will be donated to Lebanon through the #LunchforLebanon initiative.
Managing Director of Talabat Qatar Francisco de Sousa expressed "Talabat solidarity with everyone affected”, by announcing that “on top of other projects already rolling to donate to Lebanon, Talabat will also contribute with the full profit made between 12 pm - 4 pm Wednesday, August 12," inviting all customers to participate.
Tomaso Rodriguez, Chief Executive Officer of Talabat, says that Talabat employees feel a strong sense of solidarity with the people of Lebanon.
"I think we have all been affected by the tragedy which unfolded in Beirut, and the outpouring of support from the region has been testament to that.
"Many of our employees, customers, and partners are Lebanese and are heavily affected by the situation in Beirut, and our hearts and thoughts are with them and their families. We - not only as Talabat but as individuals - want to make sure that we’re doing everything we can to help," Rodriguez said.
"This means using our platform as a vehicle for support. Through #LunchforLebanon, every order placed between 12 pm - 4 pm across all the region will contribute to Lebanon. We will be donating 100 percent of our profits to the recovery efforts in Lebanon
"We are calling on other aggregators in our sector to join us, and make sure that #LunchforLebanon is an initiative right across our industry. Beirut needs us, and this is a time where we need to join forces to help our beloved Lebanese people recover from this tragedy," he added.
You can download the Talabat app via AppStore or Google Play to order your meal during #LunchforLebanon.
