Qatar Stars League season kicks off with QNB Stars League on August 21.

Matches in the first five weeks have been scheduled at the Al Sadd and newly-opened Al Janoub Stadiums, with two games each on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

2. Back To School – Doha Festival City

Doha Festival City is launching it's 'Back to School’ season from August 22 to August 30, with a community initiative in collaboration with Qatar Charity.

Shoppers are invited to donate new school backpacks including items such as pencil cases, stationery and more, in a giant backpack, located opposite to Monoprix store on the Ground Floor.

After the donation, shoppers will receive vouchers worth up to QAR 50 to be spent in participating stores, Harvey Nichols-Doha, Salam Kido, Kipling, DAISO, Centrepoint, Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister and Marks & Spencer at Doha Festival City.

Shoppers can register themselves, donate and receive gift cards from one of the participating sponsor retailers.

Kids can participate in various interactive activities including face painting, creative workshops, and competitions at East Gate 3, starting from 23 August to 31 August from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm. There will be free gifts for the participants.

4. Travel the world with Mango Languages

Dates: August 24, 2019

Where: Qatar National Library (QNL)

If you are looking forward to learning a new language this summer either to improve your vocabulary for summer vacations or to study a brand new language, you should consider checking out Mango Languages.

Mango languages offer interactive courses for more than 70 languages. If you have a library membership card, you can learn different languages for free.

In this session, QNL will introduce you to Mango Languages and how to set up your own account. You can either use your phone or one of the computers from the Computer Lab. QNL will walk you through all the steps and give you some time to explore the app and get started.

5. Summer Entertainment City

Dates: August 9 to August 23, 2019

Time: Saturday to Wednesday: 1:30 pm to 11 pm, Thursday- Friday: 1:00 pm to 11:00 pm
