Entry: Tickets are priced at QR125, QR175, QR250,  QR300, QR350, and QR500.

This moving new musical is written by Middle Eastern duo Nadim Naaman and acclaimed Qatari musician, composer, and songwriter, Dana Al Fardan.

The musical is directed by Bronagh Lagan, produced by Ali Matar with orchestrations by Joe Davison.

Based on Khalil Gibran’s masterpiece, the events of Broken Wings highlight key issues of the time, yet the themes and debates raised remain increasingly relevant today, over a century later; the fight for gender equality, the freedom to love who we love, tradition versus modernity, wealth versus happiness, immigration and the importance of 'home.'

Broken Wings was first performed in London in August 2018 at Theatre Royal Haymarket to sold-out shows. The musical was also recently performed in Lebanon in July, in celebration of the 35th Anniversary of the prestigious Beiteddine Arts Festival.

3. Asian Night Market

Weekend In Qatar

Some of the best Asian eateries in Qatar, including Filipino, Indian, Pakistani, Thai, Korean, Turkish and Arab outlets, have set up their stalls at the market.

The event offers visitors a chance to not only dig in some scrumptious Asian food, but also allows them to experience the diverse cultures of Asia through crafts and performances.

Organized by DC Event Management and Services jointly with Italian company Innovative Hight-Tech Solutions, the Asian Night Market will see different schools and community groups perform festival dances, modern production numbers, acoustic night and other live acts from Thursday to Saturday.

Moreover, community groups such as chorale, theatre, dance crews, and singers will also entertain the crowd with their performances, while an Acoustic Night will be part of the regular weekend program. In addition to these activities, WASAHQ Culinary Arts will run a cupcake and pizza-making session for children at the event.

While the DC Asian Night Market features over 30 food stalls offering an array of Asian cuisines, there's a lot more on offer such as apparel, cosmetics, toys, and kitchenware, among others.

4. KAWS: He Eats Alone

Where: Garage Gallery, Doha Fire Station

Entry: The admission fee for this exhibition is QAR 50 for adults, QAR 25 for Qataris, residents of Qatar and students.

Qatar Museums presents the first exhibition in the Middle East by KAWS (Brian Donnelly, born 1974, USA).

The solo show explores his career and vast oeuvre and features painting and sculpture made over the past 20 years.

KAWS’ imagery has long possessed sophisticated, dark humor, revealing the interplay between art and consumerism, referencing both art history and pop culture.

Donnelly began his career in street art in the 1990s, becoming synonymous with the name KAWS, a tag that became a staple in his ‘sub-vertisments’ (modifications of commercial works).

In addition to more than 40 major pieces exhibited in the Garage Gallery, examples of commercial collaborations designed by KAWS, among them sneakers, skateboards, and toys are on view in a separate archive above Café 999.  A massive 5-meter-tall sculpture, Companion (Passing Through) (2013), in the Fire Station courtyard and an inflatable 40-meter public artwork at the Dhow Harbor, Holiday (2019), also serves to highlight the exhibition.

Admission is free for children under 16, Culture Pass Plus and Culture Pass Family Members, and visitors with disabilities.
