Do you have any lingering doubts regarding US Visas and how to obtain them? Do you want to know about documents required to apply for a visit visa? Or about how student visas work? Now you have a chance to hear these answers right from the people in the business.
At 3pm on Thursday (January 26), the US Embassy in Qatar will answer queries from all Qatari residents about US visas, be it student or general, reported The Peninsula.
The US Embassy has created a special section on its social media platform called ‘Visa Web Chat.’ Visa aspirants can ask their questions there and it will be answered in detail on Thursday.
The move seems to have been received well by people living in Qatar.
Speaking about the initiative, the US Embassy to Qatar posted the following note on its social media channels.
“Do you have questions related to US Visas? Here is a chance to ask your questions directly to the US Visas and Consular team. They will be accepting your questions related to US Student Visas and US Visas in general on 26 January 2017 at 3pm Doha time.”
“We will attempt to answer as many questions as possible, but we may not be able to answer every submitted question. Post your questions now (we will answer them on Thursday) or ask them during the time mentioned above.”
However, the embassy emphasised that its staff would answer only generic questions and not those pertaining to individual cases. It has also asked people not to include any personal information in the queries.
The embassy has also asked users to use the hashtags #AskUSEmbassyQatar and #USinQatar to help embassy staff track their questions.
