Through Koons' autobiography, Lost in America presents an intimate look at American culture as seen through the prism of the eyes of a child who grew up in suburban Pennsylvania.
Approximately sixty artworks are on display from Koons' four-decade career, and the exhibition is divided into sixteen galleries, each of which is introduced by the artist and which illustrates his fascination with American visual culture, memories, and influences.
Lost in America incorporates sculptures and paintings reflecting the viewer's reflections and exploring the notion of transition, transformation, and created as part of an expansive self-portrait.
