The Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition & Conference (DIMDEX) returns in 2026 for its ninth edition at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) from January 19 to 22. Known as one of the region’s leading defence and maritime events, it brings together military officials, defence manufacturers, technology developers, and strategic leaders from around the world. The 2026 edition introduces a four-day format for the first time, offering visitors more time to explore exhibits, attend conferences, and experience live demonstrations.

Middle East Naval Commanders Conference (MENC)

Parallel to the exhibition, DIMDEX also hosts the Middle East Naval Commanders Conference, a high-level gathering that discusses strategic maritime security, emerging threats, and opportunities for cooperation. Senior naval officials, military strategists, and subject experts deliver talks that extend beyond shipbuilding and defense systems, touching on geopolitical trends, maritime law, and technological transformation in naval operations.


Visiting Warships Display at Hamad Port (Public entry)

One of the most anticipated elements of DIMDEX is the Visiting Warships Display, held at Hamad Port.

The warships display offers:

  • Access to modern naval vessels from multiple countries
  • Guided onboard tours for registered visitors
  • First-hand exposure to naval capabilities, command systems, and operational layouts
  • Interaction opportunities with naval crews and defence officials

The ships showcased are typically a mix of frigates, corvettes, patrol boats, and support vessels equipped with the latest combat systems, radars, and maritime technologies. For many visitors, this component provides a unique understanding of how naval platforms operate in real-world defence scenarios.

DIMDEX also facilitates shuttle transport between QNCC and Hamad Port for ease of access.
