Eid Al Adha is one of the most special mornings of the year in Qatar. Families wake up early, dress for the occasion, and head out together for Eid prayer before beginning a day of visits, greetings, and celebrations.
Across Qatar, Eid prayers are usually held in hundreds of mosques and open prayer grounds, making it easy for residents to find a place to pray close to home. While the final Eid Al Adha 2026 list will be confirmed by the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Awqaf, closer to Eid, here are some of the most prominent and well-known prayer locations that have been listed in previous official Eid prayer arrangements.
Imam Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab Mosque
Area: Al Jebailat
Qatar’s State Mosque and one of the country’s most important Islamic landmarks. It is the largest mosque in Qatar, with space for more than 30,000 worshippers, making it one of the most popular choices for large Eid gatherings in Doha.
How to reach by car/taxi:
Take a car or taxi directly to Imam Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab Mosque in Al Jebailat. It is best reached by road, especially for families and larger groups.

Lusail Prayer Area
Area: Lusail
One of the most high-profile Eid prayer locations in Qatar. Lusail Prayer Area has hosted major Eid prayers in recent years and is a popular choice for worshippers living in Lusail and nearby northern Doha communities

Take a car or taxi to Lusail Prayer Area. During Eid, follow local traffic diversions and police guidance, as access roads may be managed for large crowds.

Education City Stadium Eid Prayer Ground
Area: Education City
A spacious and well-organised Eid prayer location in Al Rayyan. It is especially convenient for residents around Education City, Qatar Foundation, Al Rayyan, and nearby neighbourhoods.

Take a car or taxi to Education City Stadium in Education City. For major events, use the designated approach roads and drop-off areas.

Katara Mosque
Area: Katara
A beautiful mosque located inside Katara Cultural Village, known for its distinctive blue and turquoise design. Its location makes it convenient for worshippers around Katara, West Bay, The Pearl, and nearby areas.
How to reach by car/taxi:
Take a car or taxi to Katara Cultural Village and follow signs inside Katara to the mosque. Drop-off is usually easiest at the main Katara entrances.

Fanar Mosque
Area: Central Doha
One of Doha’s most recognisable Islamic landmarks, known for its spiral minaret and central location near Souq Waqif and the Corniche. It is a great option for worshippers staying or living around central Doha.

Take a car or taxi to Fanar / Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center near Souq Waqif and the Corniche.

Masjid Al Shuyukh
Area: Al Bidda
A central mosque in Al Bidda, close to the Corniche and the Amiri Diwan area. It is a practical choice for those in central Doha, especially around Al Bidda, Msheireb, and Souq Waqif.

Take a car or taxi to Masjid Al Shuyukh in Al Bidda, near the Corniche.

Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani Mosque
Area: The Pearl-Qatar
A well-known mosque serving residents and visitors in The Pearl-Qatar. It is a convenient choice for people living around Porto Arabia, Medina Centrale, Qanat Quartier, and nearby areas. The Pearl Island lists the mosque at the right side of The Pearl Island’s roundabout, with space for around 2,500 worshippers.

Al Mana Mosque
Area: Lusail Marina
Located in the Lusail Marina area, Al Mana Mosque serves worshippers in one of Qatar’s newest waterfront districts. Its modern setting makes it a convenient prayer spot for residents and visitors around Lusail. Lusail lists Al Mana Mosque as an attraction open 24/7.

Take a car or taxi to Al Mana Mosque in Lusail Marina.

Nasser Bin Abdullah Bin Ali Al Misnad Mosque
Area: Al Khor
A prominent mosque in Al Khor, known for its peaceful setting and traditional-inspired architecture. It serves the Al Khor community and is a convenient prayer option for residents in Al Khor and nearby northern areas. Sources describe it as a modern mosque in Al Khor, opened to serve the growing local community, with facilities for men and women and capacity for around 1,200 worshippers.
How to reach by car/taxi:
Take a car or taxi to Nasser Bin Abdullah Bin Ali Al Misnad Mosque in Al Khor. It is best reached by road, especially for worshippers coming from Doha, Lusail, Al Daayen, or northern Qatar.

Eid prayers usually attract large crowds, so it is always best to leave early, especially if you are heading to one of the larger prayer grounds. Bring your own prayer mat, check the confirmed prayer time, and follow any traffic or parking instructions at the venue.
The final list of Eid Al Adha 2026 prayer locations will be announced by Awqaf closer to Eid. Once it is released, residents should confirm the nearest approved mosque or prayer ground before making their way out.
