Qatar's cities are growing, with new residential areas swiftly springing up and developing. Greener, more sustainable living areas with the newest techonology and amenities on hand are already up for rent and sale in many places, so we've endeavoured to share some of the best choices here.

1. Lusail City

Lusail is one Qatar’s newest residential areas. Located near West Bay, this ambitious, futuristic city is still developing, but many areas are already open to residents, and quite moderately priced.
Homes in Lusail are modern and well-equipped with some of the newest technological amenities.
And fun fact, the stadium that will host the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2022 FIFA World Cup happens to be in Lusail.

Fox Hills is already a very popular option in Lusail, with duplexes and apartments available for rent with a family-friendly atmosphere. They're also reasonably priced!
The apartments range from three-bedroom homes to studios. Six residential buildings are being developed by developers in Qatar, and these includePalermo, Venice, Verona, Milan, Naples, Rome and Treviso.
These neighborhoods include facilities like gyms, community rooms, children’s play areas and more.

2. Barwa City
Located between Mesaimeer and the Industrial Area, Barwa City is a family-friendly community composed with as many as 5968 residential units.
The little city icludes a clinic, mosques, schools, a health and fitness club, shopping center, commercial center, multipurpose hall, a bank and two amenities areas, with the capacity to serve a community of over 25,000 people.
The residential units are located in 128 buildings, with three types/sectors A, B and C. Each kind includes 48, 48 and 32 buildings respectively.
Type A includes over a thousand two-bedroom and three-bedroom units respectively. Type B includes over two thousnad three-bedroom units, while Type C includes over a thousand studio units.

3. Umm Salal

This municipality is located a few kilometres north of Doha (think IKEA). There are plenty of reasonably priced and ideally sized apartments and villas available for rent in this area. It’s no wonder that it’s becoming increasingly popular among residents.
It’s also home to the town of Umm Salal Mohammed, which was founded around 1910 by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Jassim Al Thani, who designed and oversaw its construction. The refurbishment of the Barzan Towers was also his decision, to serve as an outpost to scout for invasive Ottoman troops, and also as his winter residence.
