MoEHE offers 3,793 places for Qatari students in private schools under education voucher initiative
Qatar’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has announced 3,793 places for Qatari students at 17 private schools under its social responsibility initiative.
The places are fully covered by the annual QAR28,000 education voucher, with participating schools covering any tuition fees above that amount, meaning parents will not pay additional tuition fees.
The ministry has reopened applications for all Qatari students. Parents can apply directly through the Private Schools Licensing Department. It has also removed the previous QAR35,000 monthly-income eligibility ceiling, allowing all Qatari parents to apply regardless of income.
Applications previously declined solely because of the income condition have been reviewed, and those applicants offered places.
The participating institutions offer a range of curricula and grade levels across Qatar. They are Al Andalus Private Schools for Boys (Evening) and Girls (Evening), Al Arqam Academy for Girls, The Cambridge School Doha, Cambridge International School, American Academy School - Al Thumama Branch, Etqan Global Academy, Alpha Cambridge School, Awfaz Global School and its Al Gharafa branch, Beta Cambridge School, Al Koon International Private Academy and its Evening and Muaither branches, Afaq Private Primary School, and Loydence Academy - Al Aziziyah Branch.
Dr Rania Yousry Mohamed, Director of the Private Schools and Kindergartens Department and Acting Director of the Private Schools Licensing Department, said the scheme supports Qatari families by providing access to diverse, competitive and high-quality educational options in different parts of the country.
