Ministry of Education and Higher Education Launches 'Zaad Al-Mubta'ath' Programme for Scholarship Students

The Scholarship Department at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education has launched the "Zaad Al-Mubta'ath" programme for the 2026–2027 academic year, with activities running for five days from August 23 to 27 at the ministry's headquarters.

The programme brings together academics and specialists and aims to prepare students nominated for scholarships before they begin their studies abroad.

It covers religious and values-based awareness, psychological and social guidance, financial matters, security and academic preparation, helping students prepare for both their studies and life in their destination countries.

Noura Mohammed Al Ansari, Director of the Scholarship Department, welcomed participating students and said the programme represents an important stage in their scholarship journey.

She said the initiative reflects the ministry's commitment to equipping students with the skills and knowledge needed for academic success and cultural integration in the countries where they will study.

Al Ansari added that "Zaad Al-Mubta'ath" reflects the ministry's approach to supporting students so they can represent Qatar positively in academic settings, noting that the programme will continue to accompany scholarship students throughout their period of study, from the beginning of their scholarship until its completion.

The first day included religious, psychological and social, financial and security tracks, which were rotated between male and female students to provide balanced access and participation.

Sessions also featured discussions and direct questions with lecturers, as well as meetings with academic and cultural figures, including the British Cultural Attaché.

The programme also included an address by a model scholarship student, offering participants an insight into a real study-abroad experience.

The Scholarship Department said the programme forms part of the ministry's strategy to support scholarship students and provide them with experience that strengthens their academic success and helps them adapt to new societies.

It added that the programme is intended to help prepare students to engage positively with different educational and cultural environments.
