Qatar Ranked Most Peaceful Country in MENA in 2026 Global Peace Index
Qatar has been ranked the most peaceful country in the Middle East and North Africa in the 2026 Global Peace Index.
The country placed first in the region and 31st globally among 163 countries included in the index.
The official announcement also highlighted Qatar as a regional leader in societal safety and security and one of the region’s most stable countries.
The Global Peace Index is published annually by the Institute for Economics & Peace and measures peacefulness using 23 indicators.
According to the International Media Office, the ranking reflects Qatar’s commitment to promoting peace, security and prosperity across the region and beyond.
