Another chapter of Qatar’s sporting legacy will be written in just 100 days when Doha hosts more than 2,000 athletes from 213 countries and thousands of fans, officials and media personnel for the IAAF World Athletics Championships Doha 2019.

In its 17th edition, the World Championships heads to the Middle East for the first time with Doha looking to set new records hosting the ten-day sporting spectacular.

Staged at the revamped and air-conditioned Khalifa International Stadium, the competition takes place from 27 September to 6 October, with fans able to witness finals on every night as the world’s finest athletes take centre stage to compete for gold.

Fans can enjoy a whole host of entertainment before even entering the stadium, as the world comes to Qatar through the Global Athletics Village. Offering live entertainment, competitions, and cuisine from every continent, fans can be part of a true celebration which will bring all communities together for family fun.

Away from the stadium, Doha’s iconic corniche will be the stage to the first-midnight marathon in the history of World Championships, with the capital’s picturesque skyline providing a majestic view as athletes make their way towards the finish line.
